Hans-Joachim Rhein and his carduelids

Hans-Joachim Rhein is one of the most successful breeders of carduelids. For years, the orthodontist from Herrenberg has been confiding in the medicament P-12 and the nutritional supplements of the re-scha world of birds.

"I started serious breeding with colour and posture canaries in 1975, at the same time I already reared and bred carduelids and their hybrids. Very early on I began to deal with red lipochrome carduelids, bred and displayed them successfully. Since 1988 I have dealt with the breeding of carduelids more intensely. The first magellan siskins were added to my breed. In the year after,
hooded siskins and yellow bellied siskins followed and the direction towards new world siskins was fixed. American siskins have been my favorites up until now.

Along with the breed and the keeping of siskins I have a preference for displaying the breed at  state exhibitions, the German championship and the world exhibition. It's not primarily about collecting trophies, but mainly about the exposure of these partly rare bird species.

1996 I took an adjudicator examination as a DKB breed judge and now I can regularly be met at assessments and bird shows. I am a member of the „Exotic Birds and Canaries Society Rottenburg“ which belongs to the state association 09 Schwarzwald and is subordinate to the DKB. Furthermore, I belong to the ICC association. 2001 I successfully passed the exam as COM-judge in section D (coloured canaries)."

They confide in RS-12 and the other re-scha products for health and power of high performance carrier pigeons: Heinz and Michael Schlucker from Leiberg. For years, both have been belonging to the most successful high performance breeders in the regional asscociation Ostwestfalen which totals more than 1500 members.
